A Southern California 501(c)(3) Foundation

We all have
something
to give — because
mental health is everyone's.

Givinghood Foundation builds binational access to mental health care, addiction recovery, prevention programs, and family support across Southern California and the US–Mexico border. We don't soften what hurts. We meet it with care.

We don't see diagnoses, we see people. We don't count statistics, we honor stories.

Givinghood Foundation was born at the intersection of two communities, two healthcare systems, and too many families who lost someone to something that could have been treated in time.

We work in school prevention, binational residential recovery, family support, scholarships for those who can't afford treatment, and we're building the first Dual Diagnosis Center on the border: JOY Sokoloff.

Our convictions are simple. Addiction is illness, not moral failure. Empathy is a clinical tool. Human dignity is non-negotiable. And mental health, like life, is rarely linear.

Why we exist in numbers.

Mental health and addiction aren't abstractions. They're the reason this foundation exists, and the reason every program has urgency.
